The Site is a blog that focuses on all areas of technology. Of course we like to keep our focus mainly on tips and tricks, but not just for PC’s. Our goal is to keep everyone informed about the new technology we see daily. I started the site to save time by showcasing all tips I’ve seen and made to make things easier with computers technology in general. The posts on OnlinePCTips are written by myself and other contributors. I will try to keep the blog updated at least weekly to provide our readers with quality content and tips.

The Author
The owner and lead author is me – Brett. I’ve worked in IT/Computers for about 7 years now and like sharing my knowledge with other users. Over the years I have tested a lot of hardware and software and tried several online services so I decided to start this blog and post all experiences, opinions, tips and tricks and solutions to various problems and technical issues that I have come across to save you the hassle.

    A Laptop Security That Does Not Make You Look Paranoid

    Chaining up your laptop to a table in a coffee shop, library or other public place would be helpful to protect your laptop. However, if you do not want to carry a laptop cable and a lock, or if using a heavy duty cable in a public place makes you look paranoid, you can try free laptop alarm software. You simply connect your laptop to a power outlet or fasten your laptop to a table by using a USB flash drive strap.     In addition to sounding an alarm, the software can send an alert to your mobile phone in case of theft danger and destroy data in case of laptop theft.
